Fixed Installation LED Transparent Screen for Architecture & Retail

LED Transparent Screen Principle & Close-up View
LED transparent screens, commonly called “ice screens,” achieve their signature see-through effect through an innovative strip-based design. Rather than using a solid PCB backing, LEDs are mounted on ultra-thin, widely-spaced linear strips arranged in a grid pattern. This creates significant open space between the strips—allowing light to pass through and maintaining sightlines—while the LEDs themselves produce vibrant images when illuminated. When viewed up close, the individual LED lamps and circuit traces become clearly visible against the transparent background, creating a distinctive technical aesthetic. The strips are typically just 1-3mm thick, and from a distance of 2-3 meters, the structural grid virtually disappears, leaving only the floating image effect. This close-up perspective reveals the engineering precision behind the screen’s lightweight, minimalist construction that makes it possible to mount directly to glass surfaces without blocking natural light or architectural views.

Key Advantages
Adjustable Brightness – 2,000 to 5,000 nits range selected per project requirements (daylight to indoor environments)
High Transparency – 80-90% transparency maintains building aesthetics and interior daylighting
Multiple Pixel Options – Available in P3.9×7.8, P7.8×7.8, P10.4×10.4, and P15.6×15.6 for viewing distances from 4m to 20m+
2-Year Warranty – Comprehensive coverage with dedicated technical support for fixed installations

Product Features
The fixed installation LED transparent screen uses ultra-lightweight aluminum frames at just 7kg/m². This allows direct mounting onto glass curtain walls without heavy steel reinforcement. The slim profile integrates seamlessly with modern building designs.
Our ice screen adapts to any environment: 2,000 nits for indoor retail windows, 3,500 nits for atriums, or 5,000 nits for full sun-exposed building facades. Brightness is calibrated per project specifications.
Four spacing options serve different architectural needs:
-
P3.9×7.8 – Close-view retail windows (4-8m viewing)
-
P7.8×7.8 – Medium-distance storefronts (8-15m)
-
P10.4×10.4 – Large glass facades (15-25m)
-
P15.6×15.6 – Tower exteriors and long-distance viewing (20m+)
The LED glass screen achieves 85% average transparency. When displaying black content, the screen becomes virtually invisible, preserving architectural integrity during off-hours.
Compatible with Novastar, Linsn, and Colorlight systems. Supports asynchronous playback, cloud management, and real-time content updates for advertising networks.
Average power consumption of 200W/m² reduces operational costs by 40% compared to traditional LED displays. The transparent LED wall generates minimal heat, eliminating cooling requirements.
